Bride

Patrick and Erica got engaged on March 23, 2018. Patrick picked up the engagement ring he had previously ordered (from a catalogue- so impressive!) that afternoon on his way home from work. On the way home, he decided to pop the question that very night for 3 main reasons-

1. It was an unseasonably warm and sunny day out, and he planned on asking Erica outside

2. Erica had just gotten a manicure the day before, which she had told him was a vain but necessary part of getting engaged in the 21st century

3. Patrick did not think he could keep a straight face when talking to Erica now that he had the ring (This was his main reasoning)

Patrick texted Erica that they should go to France Park, one of their favorite local spots, and go on a hike. Erica, being on high alert for any signs of a proposal, told her co-workers that she felt this would be the day, but tried not to get her hopes too high. After work, Erica ran home to change and "freshen up," which she secretly did in case there would be pictures :). The two drove to France Park and took the small hike up to the cliffs. They walked around for about 10-15 minutes looking out on the water, and Erica began to think that it was not going to happen that day, as they were going to have to leave soon to meet up with Patrick’s family. On their way back to the trail, Erica sat down on a bench for one last look out at the water. Patrick pulled the ring out, and got down on his knee. There were sweet words, lots of giggles, a big "YES!", and kisses exchanged.
