For those coming from out of town for the wedding party on June 1 and needing lodging – I'm showing links through Expedia (that's who I usually use to travel), so you can see the most info and pricing in one spot. However, no need to book through them; use whomever you prefer! And, if you'd like some help booking, I'm including contact info for our travel agent that has helped us with the wedding cruise. She's great!

An important note about searching hotels near us: if you search on your own by 'Decatur, GA', please know that there is an area of town that technically can say it's Decatur, but is not the area of Decatur that you want! The ones I'm listing here are the best closest to our home options. If you're searching outside these, let us know of one you're considering if you're not sure of the area.

Close to our home and neighborhood:

Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Decatur/Emory

I haven't been to this one, but it's right in Downtown Decatur–walking distance from our home, and many great restaurants and shops. All of Atl loves coming into Decautur because of its good food and charm in close walking proximity.

Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory

I have been to this one and it's really lovely. Also just as close/walking distance to us! It also has an amazing fusion restaurant attached, and a bar inside. It's not cheap, but it's my highest recommendation.

Holiday Inn Express Atlanta - Emory University Area

A very short drive or Uber to our home/Downtown Decatur.

Private Carriage House

If you're more into AirBnB type situations. Also extremely convenient.

Midcentury Modern - Sleeps 3

Also more an AirBnB type, with kitchen, space to spread out. Adorable.

The University Inn at Emory

A small, cute, privately owned inn, very convenient to us, right at Emory University edge of campus.

Want a real taste of Atlanta history that's also close by (between us and downtown Atl)? I present:

Hotel Clermont

You may have heard of the famous Clermont Lounge. Yes, it's still there (behind/downstairs the hotel). No, it's not 'in' the hotel. This place was recently totally rehabbed, and the style is phenomenal. Rooftop bar. Vintage accents, pieces, and art. Room size options. Really super fun. TOTALLY unique, and totally part of 'The Atlanta Experience'. If you stay here, we MUST visit the bars and restaurants there together!

Of course there's lots of AirBnB options in the area, or any part of the city you want to be in. The party venue is closer to downtown, but still in the city area, so staying 'inside the perimeter' is your best bet for convenience.

Our travel agent is Amber Miles (I mean, with that name, how could she not be a travel agent, right?!)
email: amiles@cruiseshipcenters.com phone: 814-934-9542.

Please let us know your travel plans and we can help with best ways to get around from airport (we are so close to MARTA and it goes right to the airport, so if you don't want or need a car, it's easy peasy and we can help!)
