In case you haven't heard the story (though I suspect most of you have)...

Erik and I have Match.com to thank for our meeting – yes, we met online dating, even though it turns out we lived only a mile apart, in the same little bourough of Atlanta, and probably passed each other numerous times at some of our favorite Decatur places! We both weathered a lot of less-than-perfect dates before finding each other, just before we were both ready to throw in the towel on online dating. (We're pretty sure there's a combined book in our experiences.)

We talked for four hours on our first date, and after just a few dates more, officially took ourselves off the market.

We each came together with history and experience on our sides – and with that maturity, comes knowing. And we knew.

Meetings of families, many festivals, dinners, movies, shared interests, and just over a year later, Erik proposed on Thanksgiving, by the waterfall adjacent to his childhood home, and I couldn't have been happier to say YES!
