Shelby knew I was feeling anxious about turning 30, after all it is a big moment for most ladies, one that is sometimes a little scary. For my birthday weekend, he took me to my happy place - Disney, a place where we have often gone with friends, family, and just eachother to have fun and be a kid again for a few hours. We decided on Epcot for the beautiful fireworks show at the end of the evening - Shelby made sure the entire night was a magical as that show! We got a nice hotel, had happy hour at a fancy bar, and had glasses of champagne in our hands as the fireworks lit up the sky. It was then that he asked if we should make this night more memorable, more memorable than being scared of turning 30 and more so than being together on my birthday - He pulled the most beautiful ring out of his front shirt pocket and asked me to marry him. I of course said, "Yes!" after a few moments of stunned silence! I couldn't be happier to share my life with anyone else!
