Bride

May 17, 2016 was a beautiful day for a trip to the best place on earth, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hollywood. The day began with waking up early to get into the park an hour before it opened. Packing 10 people into a 7 passenger car and driving 5 miles in the most cramped conditions many of us had ever experienced. Michael began to act very strange around 9, checking his phone constantly and being secretive. I was beginning to become suspicious that he might be proposing. He snuck off for a bit around 10 and came back with a surprise, front of the line tickets for everyone! My suspicions were abated and we raced around Universal Studios, watching shows and riding as many atteactions as we could. We made our way through the Wizarding World many times until finally deciding to spend some time in the wand shop after lunch. I found a beautiful replic of Fleur Delacor's wand and Michael found his matching his Pottermore profile. As I waited for my cousin to buy her wand, Michael waited outside the crowded shop. After we all found our wands we started to wander toward the Hogwarts Castle. As we drew nearer our friends began to separate from us and take the wand bag. Michael led me to the front of the castle with my wand box in hand, opened the box to show me the ring around it, and knelt down to ask me to marry him. I was so overwhelmed that my "yes" came out as a whisper and then an "I said yes" to the "what did you say" from our friends. The most amazing, beautiful ring was slipped on my finger and my best friend became my fiancé.
