It was summer of 2011 between my sophomore and junior year of high school when I recieved a text message from Torin while he was traveling with his dad in Colorado. I had classes with Torin previously, and I thought he was a great guy, but this was the first time we really talked outside of school. We instantly connected and wanted to know everything about each other. That summer consisted of constant texting and watching star wars together at separate houses while on the phone (yes there was an echo of the movie through the phone - but we didn't care). I knew he liked me when I woke up one day to 19 text messages on my phone. I thought, this guy is different in the best way.

On August 6, 2011 Torin and I went to the park and when I left, Torin told me that he told his good friend Trevor that we were boyfriend and girlfriend. I thought...well this is news to me! I told him that he hasn't asked me yet so he said "Well..." and my answer was yes. 

In the years to come, Torin and I would face many challenges together and they have only made us stronger as a couple. From living 2 hours apart to losing loved ones, we have always been there for each other and that is why we are best friends. 

Torin and I enjoy many of the same hobbies such as getting involved with the latest pop culture. We love watching TV, and we are huge fans of going to the movies on opening night. We love collecting things...like board games, movies, pops, video games, and books. We have similar taste in music (except he doesn't like my country moods lol). Our family and friends are very important to us, and we have found that we fit in very well with each other's families.

We are also very different. Torin is very spontaneous, while I tend to plan ahead. While Torin is very level headed, I have a lot of emotions. One of us is rather easy going while the other isn't as much (I will let you take a wild guess on which is which). We compliment each other. 

The last 10 years together has been full of adventures. We went from dating, to engaged, to planning a wedding, to cancelling the wedding due to COVID, to getting legally married, to going on a honeymoon in Kauai, to now FINALLY having our wedding on September 5, 2022. To say we CAN'T WAIT would be an understatement. 

Can't wait to do this thing with my best friend!
