Bride

They say you never really see someone until you fall in love with them. I think there is some truth in that statement. I seen Kris a million times it seemed. Plenty of bar events. Plenty of birthday parties. Plenty of get togethers. However in December of 2016 I finally really seen Kris. I seen the young giggly kid when he did something he thought was sly. I seen the grown man who was determined. I seen the friend who would do anything for someone. So when I finally talked to him that night I had legit butterflies. Lol I was nervous. Which rarely happens, but for the first time I was drawn to someone.  The strength of that force must have been magnetic that night because I cant remember a moment in that night that we were next to each other laughing about something silly. Naturally the prince left the next day… but this time it was different. This time I was upset he was leaving.

It took 4 months for us to finally connect and talk for more than a second. Silliest thing ever. Kris sent me a snapchat video (for those who don’t know, it is an app that you can send pictures and videos to your friends and they disappear after a short period.) of a man peeing on the outside of his apartment. Now normally this isn’t exactly funny, but this guy was so drunk he was peeing all over himself while trying to pee on the wall. During the day, but the funny part, Kris was laughing so hard that he could barely breathe telling me about the guy. His laugh is infectious. It makes you want to laugh. It took me back instantly. So I offered to talk on FaceTime. I think we talked for about 5 hours. We laughed so hard for the whole time. It was so much fun. A FaceTime conversation with a person in Virginia was the most interesting thing I had for quite some time. We talked a lot , Every day actually lol and then in June Kris came to Florida. This time we went on our first date to Ukeles. (fun fact.. our save the date is taken at the same spot we had our first date!). 11 trips back and forth. Bad trips. Amazing trips and everything in between, it was never easy to leave or to see him go. Every time I just wanted him home. For goo

As Kris said below, Kris moved home and we bought a wonderful home in Lutz in the summer of 2018. Let me tell you , living together is so much easier than not. This last year has been the best of my life! Chelsea, Liz, Joshua & Jeremy have opened their hearts with no question to this amazing man. He is not only worthy to love them but he is worthy to receive their love back. They cried when he purposed in front of our home with me. They love him more than anything and cant wait for him to officially be their bonus dad!!

I met Dreama about 7 years ago one night at Ralphs, she was dancing and spinning and swirling and having an amazing time.  I am at the bar just looking as cool as can be watching this girl dance around the dance floor.  Out of nowhere she pointed at me..... I looked behind me as she couldn’t possibly be looking at me.  I shook my head no in terror of dancing with the most beautiful girl in the bar and of course she stomped her feet and continued to dance without me, and she did not as again.......

We would hang out through mutual friends and hear all about each other due to the small town.  I flew in a few years ago and was hanging out with my cousin clay.  Of course we were at Ralphs and here comes Dreama.  So again I am just looking as cool as can be holding my breath she won’t see me sweat.  She comes and sits next to Clay and I and we spent a good time catching up.  Clay and I were going to head out as we had a big day the next day and Dreama and her friends were inviting us to a bonfire.  Clay had no hesitation in saying yes, it was a big “hell yea, we will be there” mean time I am making up every excuse I can not to go!  I knew that if we were to hang out then I would fall in love with her.

A few years later I flew down again to spend time with my family and friends.  We were having a party and bonfire at a friend’s house.  I showed up with my buddies and there was Dreama again, looking more beautiful than she had ever before.  I am still as nervous as I have always been to get to know her.  I finally got up the courage and spun my game.  That game landed me in the ER on my return flight home after trying to stay the cool and collective dude and jumping on to a boat with boots on.  Needless to say it was so worth it!

Dreama and I began to talk on the phone and text, I knew this was too good to be true thinking I am 4 states away this will never work.  We began flying back and forth to see each other….. I believe we flew 11 times in one year.  Leaving was always the hardest part but we never let it get in the way of our happiness.  We knew that we loved each other for all the right reasons and that 4 states and a year and a half was nothing compared to the rest of our lives.

I moved back home in June of 2018 we purchased our first home and began living our life as we have been waiting to do so for a long time!  There was no hesitation for me any longer, I knew that I wanted to marry this woman! In September I proposed to the most amazing, kind hearted, smart, beautiful woman, mother, and my best friend in front of our home with my future step children surrounding us.  We became a family.
