~Hello! Thank you for checking out our honeymoon with Norwegian Cruise Lines. From a very young age we have both loved and appreciated different aspects of Asian culture. We wanted to share what each excursion gift contributes: For $60.00 - we will explore Taipei, Taiwan for 4.5 hours, observing Keelung and the Natural Wonders of Yeliu. This excursion allows us to visit a Buddhist holy site, Yeliu park, and many sandstone and rock formations. For $80.00 - we will tour a beautiful temple and a garden in Kochi, Japan. The Chikurinji Temple is known as the temple of learning, and Makino Botanical Garden houses 3,000 species of plants! For $120.00 - we will see Himeji Castle and Kokoen gardens. Himeji Castle is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site, and spans back to the 14th century. The Kokoen Garden is much newer, but inspired by Japan's Edo period. For $100.00 - we will explore Osaka, Japan. First stop is Osaka Castle, followed by a drive into the Namba district. We will have free time to shop among the district for "every imaginable" type of merchandise. For $230.00 - we will spend 8.5 hours in Kyoto, Japan. The itinerary includes Kinkakuji (the retirement villa of a Shogun in 1394), Nijo Castle (another World Heritage site), Sanjusangendo (filled with work from Momoyama wood carvers), and a nice hot meal! For $120.00 - we will conclude with our final excursion being a 5 hour tour of Tokyo. We will go to the heart of the city, touring an Edo-period garden that will be filled with blooming cherry blossoms, a walk around the Imperial Palace, and finish with free time in the square.
