Excursion in Corfu, Greece: 4X4 ADVENTURE

Activities & Entertainment

Enjoy the fun and adventure of Corfu’s countryside while traveling over stony trails through the olive groves. You’ll catch glimpses of the sparkling Ionian Sea, beautiful green hills and have a glimpse of the traditional way of life led by many of the local people. After picking up your 4x4 vehicle at the pier, your guide will lead you up the main coastal road to the northeast of the island. You’ll then take small country roads to quaint villages, stopping at one of the most charming and oldest on the island to take in the views.Take an uphill narrow winding road (with 27 zigzag turns) to the Sokraki where you’ll stop to admire one of the most fantastic panoramic views. Following a dusty road, you’ll arrive at Troumbetta. You’ll pass through other picturesque sites and stop at Bella Vista to take in more spectacular views and enjoy some refreshments and Greek snacks. You’ll find it difficult to decide which village is the most appealing to you.You’ll also visit a traditional Koum Kouat distillery. The Koum Kouat citrus fruit, a variety which only grows in Corfu, is made into one of the island's most famous products, a liqueur with the same name, plus fruit preserved sweets. You’ll be able to view a small exhibition of antique distillery equipment, sample the produce and purchase local liquors.

Excursion in Dubrovnik, Croatia: WALKING TOUR & CABLE CAR

Activities & Entertainment

Depart the Port of Dubrovnik on foot to the newly opened cable car station situated in the vicinity of the Old Town. Arriving at the station, proceed by cable car to Srd Hill. From here you’ll enjoy a bird’s eye view of the greatness of the city and surroundings. You’ll never forget the centuries-old Dubrovnik rooftops. After returning by cable car to the main station, your guide will lead you on a walking tour of the Old Town. At the end of the walking tour, you’ll have free time to explore further on your own.

Excursion in Livorno, Italy: GO LOCAL - LIVORNO'S AMBIANCE

Live like a local by browsing one of Europe’s oldest markets and enjoying traditional treats and beverages. Your culinary immersion will begin at the Central Market, one of the oldest markets in Europe. With more than 200 shops and stalls, the late 19th-century Art Nouveau-style market attracts those seeking extraordinarily fresh produce, cheeses and meats. Virtually every iconic Italian food, condiment and beverage is on display. While meandering from stall to stall, you can expect the aroma of freshly ground coffee, baked goods and exotic spices to be wafting through the air. Samples may be offered to whet your appetite for the chickpea pancake tasting that follows. This popular street food is a thin flatbread that is typically crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and spectacularly flavorful. As a complement, you will visit the New Venice district for a cup of Ponce Livornese, a restorative rum-and-coffee concoction that locals often order as digestives following dinner.

Excursion in Naples, Italy: FLAVORS OF SORRENTO & POMPEII

Take a trip back in time as you visit the well preserved ruins of Pompeii and enjoy the flavors of Sorrento. A flourishing civilization, buried for 1,700 years under 20 feet of ash and pumice, was so perfectly preserved that you can see how the 20,000 residents lived, worked and played. You'll also visit a nearby cameo factory to see how the famous jewelry is made and then have some time to browse the store. Visit the cliff top town of Sorrento, a village with splendid views of the sea and the colorful marina below.Enjoy some free time to explore the flower filled main street and the Corso Italia, lined with boutiques. Then it’s on to the hills above Sorrento, where a family owned farm produces homemade products. Tour the farm and its old wine cantina, learn how they produce olive oil and homemade mozzarella and during lunch get a chance to sample the local fare surrounded by a lemon and olive grove.

Excursion in Taormina, Sicily: TAORMINA & MOUNT ETNA

Start with a brief introductory drive through Messina on your way to enchanting Taormina, a town with medieval character and great charm. Its natural drama is enhanced by the bold backdrop of Mt. Etna. Your walking tour takes you down narrow lanes, passing the Palazzo Corvaia, en route to the impressive Greek Theater. Here you’ll have time to wander at Corso Umberto, with many narrow streets lined with shops.Headed for Mt. Etna, the scenic road winds around the mountain, passing picturesque towns. After lunch at a restaurant on the slopes of this impressive volcano, continue to Cratere Silvestri, situated over 6,000 feet above sea level. From this vantage point you’ll have stunning views of the Gulf of Catania and surrounding areas. But of course, the major attraction is the crater and the remnants of the awe-inspiring streams of lava.
