It all started 6 years ago. Rob was Victoria's best friend: the first person she told about her sister's diagnosis. Victoria remembers saying, "She can't have cancer! I need her by my side on my wedding day!" Fast forward 5 months and 1 day to October 11th, 2011: the day Rob asked Victoria to be his girlfriend. It was after a hike where he twisted his ankle. Victoria nursed him back to health and I think that's how she earned the title. Now, a little over 5 years later, they're taking on the world. In 2016, they added 5 stamps to their passports.

Now, let's get to the story that I know you're waiting for: the proposal. Picture this: December 29th, 2016. Departed from London. Arrived into Paris. Within 20 minutes, Victoria's iPhone was stolen. Next stop: Airbnb. They unpacked and went to dinner. After a delicious meal, they headed back. Long story short: after multiple hours, sets of keys, helpful strangers and Skype calls with their host: they weren't able to open the door. All of their things were in there since they unpacked beforehand: cash, passports and (not to Victoria's knowledge, of course) the ring! The door was frozen shut. A locksmith was able to open it the next morning, so that they could access their belongings.

Rob told Victoria to start getting ready because they were going to a star studded brunch with a strict dress code. They left the Airbnb and he led the way. They came to the most incredible bridge they'd ever seen with views of the Eiffel Tower: Pont Alexandre III. They started whispering sweet nothings to each other and the next thing that Victoria knew, Rob was down on one knee. THIS WAS IT! He pulled out a box from his jacket, opened it and said, "Victoria Anne, will you marry me?" and Victoria screamed "Yes!" Excitement overtook her and it was all caught on camera. After the proposal, they spent 2 hours with the photographer - going all over Paris for their engagement shoot. The rest of the day included drinking champagne and telling their family and friends. Victoria asked her sister, who survived cancer, to be her Maid of Honor. It was the best day ever.
